EBay is an International online auction site. It is free to join and is a great site if you like a bargain and enjoy auctions. EBay offers over one million listings of items for sale everyday, all listed under many different categories. There are hundreds of different types of product listed on Ebay, but Ebay is actually just the auction host. When you make a purchase from eBay, you are actually buying from another registered member of Ebay.

What Products are Available on EBay.
To be honest, it would be impossible for me to list the full range of items on sale on the EBay auction site so I am going to give a rough guide to some off the type of products available:-

The design of the Ebay site isn’t exactly the best around, but it serves its purpose well. It’s simple, but functional. There’s no banner ads, Java or Flash to slow the site down.

You can either browse for what you want though the hierarchical categories or use the search engine. Browsing is simple, despite the thousands of items for sale, because of the tree-like way items are listed. The search engine is very good too. You can choose to search for items only in your country if you aren’t willing to/can’t send money abroad, you can exclude words from your search which is very useful if the word you search for regularly comes up with irrelevant items. (i.e. searching for the band Ash frequently produces Pokemon related results so the words “pokemon” and “pikachu” can be excluded to get better results).
You can search within a specific category only, which is useful in the music section where you only want CDs for example.

On eBay you’ll find everything you’ll ever want. CD’s, games, car, you name it, its on it.ith full checkout intergration with Paypal its easily the place to buy. Remember, be careful, from time to time you find a crook or a pirate. You always should checkout a feedback rating. Feedback ratings are what other members say about this member. I would say if they have 2-50 posts they should have at least 95% positive for you to trade with them. If they have 50-100, 97% positive or 100+ 97.5% postive.

A little tip. Never bid on a item without a picture, always buy with paypal when possible, always look at a sellers return policy(if they have one) and there is no such thing as the eBay warehouse

How would you like to feel like it was your birthday every day? First, you would get a postal delivery of envelopes full of cheques. (Admittedly no birthday cards, but bear with me!) Ebay… what can I say??? I am totally addicted. I have been Ebaying for over a year and am so amazed at the amount of money I have made and have saved on all sorts of TOP BRAND products!!! I was at first pretty sceptical. I mean, some of the stuff on Ebay starts off cheap and ends up more expensive than the shops. But I found that perserverance is the key. TIP: If you are lucky there are usually more than one of the same item on offer and the same time. You bid low, and keep tracking them all till eventually one either rockets in price, in which case you go for the cheaper one.

EBAY! well I started going on ebay when a friend recommended it as a great auction site to me. I went on there and never realised just how many different things you could bid for, they do everything.
The buzz I got was amazing when I placed my first bid and then recieved an email to confirm that I had successfully placed the highest bid and that the item in question was mine.
Well after that I went on ebay every day, scanning through the endless lists of things to sell. I started placing bids on many items, even to the point that when I won the bids I couldnt remember the items in question, thats how bad I got!.
I ended up spending far more than really I could afford but it was just so easy and exciting, its so hard not to get carried away in the thrill of it all. I spent on average around 6 hours a day every day on ebay. Put it this way my husband was not amused.

We have been on Ebay for about 2 years and I think it is a superb site, you really can pick up some good bargains. You do have to watch out for scammers from Nigeria who will try and con you, however if you do get messages from anyone you feel to be suspicious just contact Ebay and they will sort the problem out for you within 48 hours. I find the “Buzz” on eBay is when you have bid on an item that you really want, and there are only a few minutes to go, and someone else bids, you bid gain and then the excitement starts……will you win or be outbid? Keep pressing refresh but as I said before do not bid if you cannot afford to pay.

When you search for something, make sure to click the lowest first tab at the top, these items may have longer to run however you may also get a bargain! We have bought and sold many items on Ebay and as long as your honest with your descriptions you cannot fail to enjoy the experience.
